Monument is a signed, one-of-a-kind sculptural side table hand-fabricated from welded steel in 2002. Two octagonal steel forms cantilever — an open vessel base and a solid-sided upper plinth — are unified by a square-section column and crowned with a custom made 1/4” beveled octagonal glass surface.
The raw, hand-worked steel carries visible weld lines and an honest natural patina — not flaw, but a fingerprint. Evidence of the maker's hand. Each angle shifts the piece: architectural and monolithic from one side, vessel-like and ceremonial from another. The title is apt.
